After two years in the red, the NSIA Group went green in 2019 with a net income of 28 millions $

"The NSIA Group achieved a very good operational performance in 2019," commented Jean Kacou Diagou, CEO of the bancassurance group, on the release of the financial results on December 22nd. A year characterized by a remarkable return to profit after two difficult years. The net result stood at 15.03 billions FCFA (27.9 millions $) at the end of 2019 after a loss of 366 million FCFA (680,174 $) in 2018, which represents a good progression of more than 4,000%.

According to ours informations, the ivorian group had also recorded a loss of 4.96 billions FCFA (9.2 millions $) in 2017 after making profits of 354 millions FCFA (657,873$) and 1.4 billion FCFA (2,6 millions $) respectively in 2016 and 2015.

Between 2018 and 2019, the turnover remained almost stable from 256.8 billions FCFA to 258.92 billions FCFA (481.2 millions $). In 2015, revenues generated by the group were 211 billions FCFA (392 millions $).

Fiscal year 2019 was also marked by the financial consolidation of the NSIA Group with an increase in the share capital of the holding company (NSIA Participations) to 30 billion FCFA (55.8 millions $), as well as a 9% increase in its total balance sheet which rose to just over 1,654 billion FCFA (3 billions $). A development presented as a factor of "financial credibility in the eyes of investors and rating agencies".

"2019 was an excellent year, 2020 despite the crisis, has enabled us to demonstrate our resilience and become the African Financial Group of reference, leader in each of its businesses in each country," Janine Kacou Diagou, Managing Director of the NSIA Group, appreciated.

Present in 12 countries in West and Central Africa, the group is a conglomerate of 28 companies including 3 banks (+3 branches), 21 insurance companies, a brokerage firm, a mutual fund, a real estate firm, a reinsurance brokerage company and a Foundation.
