Indeed, the BRVM Composite (+0.22% to 131.16 points) and the BRVM 10 (+0.21% to 113.81 points) managed to score points at the end of the session thanks to a strong buyer presence that was felt at the level of the balance of variations. 16 securities closed the session up while 12 declined.
On sectoral indices, there is a positive record. Of the 5 sectors that varied, only one closed in the red. This is the BRVM Finance (-0.17% to 53.84 points).
The BRVM Agriculture starts up again with a performance of +1.31% to 89.44 points thanks to the breakthrough of PALM CI (+7.40% to 2,685 FCFA). Brought on by the TOTAL CI (+6.56% to 1,300 FCFA) and TOTAL SN (+1.92% to 1,325 FCFA), the BRVM Distribution appreciated by 0.77% to 204.19 points, the second largest sectoral increase.
Still shining on the beginning of this year, NESTLE (+6.67% to 480 FCFA) closed in the top 3 of the day. With this increase, the stock reached its highest price over the last 12 months of quotation and has a 50% gain in value over the period from 31 December 2020 till now.
For the whole session 197 million FCFA were exchanged this Wednesday.
