In This Role, You'll

  • Collaborate across all levels of the organization by developing a deep understanding of Wave's business model, including products and market strategies, competitive context, and internal processes.
  • Performs quantitative analysis of operational and financial data.
  • Builds and manages financial databases by organizing and analyzing a wide range of data sources.
  • Prepares budget and forecast financial information.
  • Analyzing variances in financial results between actual, budget, and prior month.
  • Performs ad hoc analysis for the senior management team.

Key details

  • Location: You'll work from our office in Abidjan. This role can also be based in Senegal.
  • You must have work authorization in Côte d'Ivoire.
  • This is a permanent position.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Economics or Finance.
  • 5+ years experience working in financial planning and analysis role.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP or IFRS.
  • Expert Excel skills; extensive experience building three-statement financial models and analyzing large data sets.
  • Fluent in French and English.; ability to distill complex analyses into structured outputs and present them to all levels of management.
  • Highly organized, independent, and self-motivated.
  • Ability to think creatively and critically and thrive in a dynamic and often ambiguous work environment.
  • Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized.
  • Demonstrated ability to roll up sleeves and work with team members in a hands-on management capacity.
  • SaaS or FinTech industry experience or interest.
